The Prophets Are the Best Among Mankind

They are the messengers of Allah. They were sent as guides to human society. Those chosen for prophethood are selected with the qualities befitting it. Their hearts are pure. Their knowledge and maturity are clear. They are not confused in understanding the truths. It is Allah Himself who selects them.

Their bodies are protected from evil diseases and detestable defects. Furthermore, their relationship with people is based on goodness, charity, and love.

Allah honored the Prophets by granting them excellent qualities, honesty, purity, and lofty morals. Thus, they were the best role models and guides for people. They are excellent role models for the callers who come after them.

The Quran mentions the stories of 25 Prophets. The Prophet (PBUH) is the leader of all Prophets, both those whose names are mentioned and those whose names are not mentioned. Islam states that it is the duty of every Muslim to believe in all the Prophets.

The Virtue of Salawat (Blessings Upon the Prophet)

An easy deed. Abu Darda (RA) narrates the glad tidings of the Prophet (PBUH): “Whoever sends ten Salawat upon me in the morning and in the evening, my intercession will be available to him on the Day of Judgment.” (Tabarani)

A Muslim, while living in expectation of the Hereafter, fulfilling obligations, and abstaining from sins, by also performing such deeds, can attain the fortune of receiving the Prophet’s intercession in the Hereafter. Therefore, let us make it our daily habit to send Salawat upon the Prophet (PBUH) in the morning and in the evening.

Sadaqa

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“If someone gives in charity something equal to a date from honestly earned money, Allah takes it in His right (Hand) and then brings it up for its owner until it becomes like a mountain.”
