Let Us Pray Earnestly

Allah loves it when His servant supplicates to Him. This brings us closer to Allah; it affirms His oneness. In it lies true, heartfelt conversation. Through it, hardships are removed, needs are fulfilled, evils are prevented, and blessings are attained. Through it, the gates of heaven are opened, and it protects one from the fire of Hell and its punishment.

What kind of prayer does Allah love?

Allah loves prayer that is done secretly. Moreover, Allah loves earnest and persistent asking in prayer. One should continue asking Allah abundantly without getting bored, tired, or disappointed.

What is the secret of accepted prayer?
In Surah Al-Anbiya, after mentioning the prayers of the prophets, Allah states an important matter: They used to hasten to good deeds, and they prayed to Us with hope and fear, and they were humble before Us.

Therefore, let us model our supplications as Allah loves, and develop in ourselves the qualities that lead to acceptance.

The Greatness of Surah Al-Fatiha

Surah Al-Fatiha is the foundation of the Quran, it is Ummul Quran (the Mother of the Quran), As-Sab’ul Mathani (the seven often-repeated verses), complete relief, beneficial medicine, complete ruqyah, the key to prosperity and success, and for the one who knows its greatness and gives it its due right, it preserves strength, and removes worry, sorrow, fear, and grief. (Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, rahimahullah)

We are Responsible for Our Actions

(فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنبِهِ)  – “So each We seized for his sin.” (Al-Ankabut: 40)

Thus, every sinner will be called to account by Allah according to the sin they committed, and they will be given the punishment suitable for them. No one will be punished for another’s sin.

Therefore, instead of searching for the faults of others, focus on rectifying your own faults. May Allah’s mercy be upon you.

O Allah! Grant us the ability to do deeds that please You. And cause us to return to You in the best manner.

Sadaqa

The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a man dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for him.”
