Show Compassion to the Weak
Treat the weak, orphans, widows, the poor, people with disabilities, and children with gentleness and mercy. This will generate kindness, tenderness, and affection in the heart, and it will turn our hearts toward Allah. Only those who have experienced this in practice can truly taste its sweetness.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah shows mercy to those of His servants who are merciful to others.”
The Protected Pure Heart
A person should not boast about themselves, nor should they take pride in their faith. Rather, they should always pray to Allah to keep them steadfast in their faith (Imaan).
For indeed, a person’s heart can be affected by doubts and desires. At times, one may be a true believer, but then Shayṭhan may cast a doubt into their heart. At that point, they (may Allah protect us!) might lose sight of the truth and go astray.
Likewise, at times, one may be righteous and steadfast in Allah’s commandments. Then Shayṭhan may plant an evil desire in their heart, and as a result, they may deviate and begin to follow their whims.
Therefore, the pure heart (قلب سليم) is the heart that is protected from doubts and evil desires.
Sadaqa
Sadaqah is sufficient to attain Allah’s love and pleasure, shade on the day of Judgment, protection from the Hellfire, healing from illness, blessings (Barakah) in wealth, and many other benefits.
