The Glory of the Holy Kaaba

The Holy Kaaba, located on the soil of Makkah, is the first house built in the world. It is a land where Prophets lived and a sanctified place where Allah’s guidance descended through Divine Revelation (Wahy). The Holy Kaaba was reconstructed by Prophet Ibrahim (Alaihissalam) with the support of his family. This is why the sacrifices of Prophet Ibrahim’s (Alaihissalam) family are specially remembered during the Hajj season.

The Kaaba is the only place in the entire world that remains spiritually alive at all times. According to statistics released by the General Authority for Statistics:

  • Approximately 278,000 people engage in prayer (Salah) every hour.
  • About 107,000 people perform circumambulation (Tawaf) around the Kaaba every hour.
  • Masjid al-Haram stands as a magnificent mosque with the capacity to accommodate around 3.5 million people praying at the same time.

The Miraculous, Never-Ending Well

Zamzam water is a miracle, considered to be the oldest, purest, and most sacred water on the surface of the Earth. It is a special mercy bestowed by Allah upon Prophet Ismail (Alaihissalam) and his mother, Hajar. Zamzam water possesses a unique quality that encompasses both spiritual salvation and physical health.

This water source is located 21 meters away from the Kaaba. Studies show that the springs of the 30-meter-deep Zamzam well discharge between 11 to 18.5 liters of water per second.

Zamzam water is pure, clear, and holy; it has no color or odor. Research, chemical testing, and ultraviolet ray analysis have confirmed that it is completely free of harmful germs.

The Magnificent Day of Arafah

The 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah is the best day among all days in the world. This is the Day of Arafah. Allah has specifically designated this auspicious day for supplication (Dua). Allah forgives the sins of those who gather at the plain of Arafah. For those who are not performing Hajj but fast on this day, Allah forgives two years of their sins. How Loving and Merciful Allah is!

The Day of Arafah is also the day on which Allah frees the maximum number of souls from the Hellfire. It was on this very day that Allah perfected the religion of Islam.
